Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Natural Sciences Educator specializing in Life Sciences for a Bloemfontein school. The role combines classroom teaching with practical laboratory work, aligned to the CAPS curriculum, Grades 8-12.

You will design lessons, supervise experiments, assess learners, and collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Life Sciences program. The ideal candidate has a Life Sciences qualification, a teaching certificate, SACE registration, and at least five years' secondary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science (Biology/Life Sciences) or Education with Life Sciences specialization.
• Valid teaching qualification and SACE registration.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience teaching Life Sciences at secondary school level.
• In-depth knowledge of the CAPS curriculum for Natural Sciences, focus on Life Sciences.
• Proven ability to conduct practical science experiments safely and effectively.
• Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Strong classroom management and ability to engage diverse learners.
• Familiarity with educational technology and science simulation software is an advantage.
• Experience in the Bloemfontein, Free State area is preferred.
