The role requires a PhD in a related field with 6+ years of experience, expertise in nanofabrication and advanced characterization techniques, and the ability to mentor staff.

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities

• Perform characterization of nanomaterials and devices using advanced analytical techniques, including Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), and Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM).
• Develop and optimize processes for the controlled deposition and manipulation of nanomaterials.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate nanotechnology solutions into larger systems.
• Analyze experimental data, interpret results, and document findings in detailed technical reports.
• Contribute to intellectual property development through patent applications.
• Stay current with scientific literature and industry trends in nanotechnology and related fields.
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians, providing technical guidance and support.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Nanotechnology, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of relevant industry or research experience in nanotechnology development.
• Proven expertise in nanofabrication techniques and characterization methods.
• Strong understanding of semiconductor physics, solid-state physics, or surface science.
• Experience with cleanroom operations and micro/nanofabrication processes.
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex R&D projects and work effectively in a team environment.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities, with experience in technical report writing.
• Familiarity with computational modeling and simulation tools for nanoscale systems is beneficial.
