Placements24 is seeking a Senior UI/UX Designer to elevate player experiences across a portfolio of mobile games in Centurion, Gauteng. You will craft intuitive interfaces and seamless journeys, aligning with game mechanics and narrative to drive engagement and retention.

You will collaborate with designers, artists, and engineers, build wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity assets, and define UI style guides to ensure visual consistency across all game elements.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in UI/UX design with a focus on mobile game development
• Strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional UI/UX design skills for mobile games, including wireframes, prototypes, and final assets
• Proficiency in industry-standard design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator), and prototyping tools
• Solid understanding of user psychology, interaction design principles, and mobile design patterns
• Experience with game engines like Unity or Unreal Engine is a plus
• Excellent visual design skills, with a keen eye for typography, color, layout, and animation
• Strong communication, collaboration, and presentation skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, iterative development environment
• Passion for mobile gaming and a deep understanding of the gaming market

Aufgaben

• Design intuitive, engaging, and aesthetically pleasing user interfaces for mobile games, adhering to platform guidelines and best practices
• Develop user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups for game menus, HUDs, and other in-game interfaces
• Conduct user research, usability testing, and competitor analysis to inform design decisions and identify areas for improvement
• Collaborate closely with game designers, artists, and engineers to ensure UI/UX designs are implemented effectively and cohesively
• Define and maintain UI style guides, ensuring visual consistency and brand identity across all game elements
• Optimize UI layouts and interactions for various screen sizes, resolutions, and device capabilities
• Iterate on designs based on player feedback, analytics data, and team input
• Present design concepts and rationale to stakeholders, articulating design decisions clearly
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and innovations in mobile game UI/UX design
• Champion user-centered design principles throughout the development lifecycle
