Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Mining Engineer for Klerksdorp operations in the North West province. You will lead mine design, planning and production optimization across underground and open-pit environments, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective plans aligned with regulatory requirements.

The role requires a BEng or BSc in Mining Engineering, 6+ years of experience, and proficiency with Deswik, Vulcan and Surpac. Professional registration with ECSA is expected.

This role focuses on mine design, planning, and production optimization for both underground and open-pit environments. You will be responsible for developing safe, efficient, and cost-effective mining plans, ensuring adherence to operational targets and regulatory requirements. The position requires a deep understanding of mining methodologies, rock mechanics, and mine infrastructure, playing a key part in maximizing resource extraction in the North West province.
