Our South African company, Uboni SA (Pty) Ltd. is currently in need of a Senior Microsoft Wizard to own the operations and security of our Microsoft stack.

This is a full-time, permanent employment position (NOT contract work).

What You’ll Be Doing

• M Administration: Oversee the configuration, management, and support of Microsoft environments, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, Entra ID, Intune, and PowerShell.
• User and License Management: Manage user accounts, licenses, and subscriptions in Microsoft Admin Center.
• Security Management: Implement robust security measures, including multi‑factor authentication (MFA), data loss prevention (DLP), and conditional access policies.
• Compliance and Governance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and implement governance policies for Microsoft.
• Backup and Disaster Recovery: Develop and execute backup strategies for data, test disaster recovery plans, and perform data restorations when needed.
• Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor the performance of all Microsoft services and infrastructure; identify bottlenecks and optimize configurations for peak performance.
• Project Management: Lead and manage projects, ensuring timely delivery, within budget, and meeting project objectives.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience: At least 5 years of hands‑on experience as a Microsoft Systems Engineer with current Microsoft Systems Administrator experience. In‑depth knowledge of legacy systems and the current Microsoft cloud infrastructure, management and security is required.
• Expertise: Deep knowledge of Microsoft, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, Azure, Entra ID, Intune, etc.
• Security Skills: Strong grasp of IT security principles and best practices, specifically within the Microsoft ecosystem.
• Compliance Knowledge: Experience with compliance frameworks and governance policies for Microsoft.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Problem‑Solver: A proactive problem‑solver with stellar analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
• Project Management: Proven ability to lead and manage projects effectively, from inception to completion.
• Advanced MS Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Administrator Expert.
