Job summary

EQPLUS TECHNOLOGIES PTY LTD is seeking a Senior Microsoft Cloud & Platform Security Lead for a short-term contract in Johannesburg. You will shape and strengthen the organisation’s Microsoft security posture across Azure, Microsoft 365 and hybrid platforms, providing governance, architecture and incident support.

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years in Cyber Security or Information Security with at least 5 years in Microsoft security within a hybrid enterprise.
• Experience in security architecture, control design and regulatory/audit support.
• POPIA familiarity or working in regulated environments is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Designing and improving security controls across Microsoft 365 and Azure.
• Establishing technical security standards and secure configurations aligned with CIS, NIST, ISO 27001.
• Monitoring security posture and driving improvements across security scoring and vulnerabilities.
• Providing senior escalation support for major incidents across Microsoft 365, Azure and platform environments.
• Reviewing security designs for initiatives involving Microsoft and cloud platforms, documenting controls.
