About the Role

Key Responsibilities

Oversee and optimize the mineral processing plant operations, including crushing, grinding, flotation, and leaching. Conduct metallurgical test work to evaluate new processes and improve existing ones. Troubleshoot operational issues and implement corrective actions to maintain efficiency and product quality. Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure consistent product specifications. Collaborate with mine operations and engineering teams to integrate processing with mine output. Stay abreast of advancements in metallurgical technology and recommend relevant innovations.

Requirements

Degree in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 8 years of experience in mineral processing and metallurgy, with at least 3 years in a senior role. Proven experience with various processing circuits (e.g., gold, base metals, PGMs). Strong analytical skills and experience with process simulation and modeling software. Excellent understanding of plant operations, safety, and environmental regulations. Ability to lead and mentor junior metallurgists and technicians.
