Job summary

Hire Resolve has partnered with a Medical Billing company that provides medical practitioners with a range of medical account administration to find a Billing Agent Expert Leader to join their team in Johannesburg. The role focuses on patient data capturing, accurate billing across specialists, allied healthcare, and GP services, with emphasis on coding accuracy and compliance.

You will review workflows, respond to billing queries, ensure adherence to industry guidelines, and drive billing

Qualifications

• Matric completion required.
• Basic ICD-10 coding knowledge; intermediate advantageous.
• 6+ years of experience in medical billing or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Patient data capturing.
• Billing for a variety of Specialist Doctors, Allieds, GP’s.
• Expert knowledge on charge codes and ICD-10 codes for all Specialists and GP’s.
• Receipt and distribution of billing.
• Billing optimisation and ensuring correctness of billing.
• Understand various medical aid agreements.
• Follow the SAMAbilling guide and industry rules.
• Review workflows to determine effectiveness and opportunities.
• Maintain accurate records and handle billing queries.
• Maintain up-to-date with new billing rules by any means necessary.
