Key Responsibilities

• Perform advanced structural and stress analysis using FEA software (e.g., ANSYS Mechanical, Abaqus) on complex mechanical components and assemblies.

• Analyze simulation results to predict stress, strain, fatigue life, creep, and other performance metrics under static, dynamic, and thermal loading conditions.
• Interpret analysis results and provide clear, concise recommendations to design engineers for design improvements and validation.
• Collaborate with design teams, R&D, and manufacturing to understand design requirements and constraints.
• Contribute to the development of analysis methodologies, best practices, and standard operating procedures.
• Stay current with the latest advancements in FEA techniques, material science, and computational mechanics.
• Prepare detailed technical reports documenting analysis methodologies, results, and conclusions.
• Mentor and guide junior stress analysts, sharing expertise and fostering technical growth.
• Participate in design reviews and provide expert technical input.

Requirements

• Master's or Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline with a strong focus on computational mechanics and FEA.
• A minimum of 8 years of professional experience dedicated to mechanical stress analysis using FEA.
• Extensive hands‑on experience with industry‑leading FEA software packages is mandatory.
• Solid understanding of material properties, failure theories, fatigue analysis, and fracture mechanics.
• Experience with experimental validation and correlation of FEA models is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, APDL) for automation and post-processing is a plus.
