Job summary

Eskom Holdings SOC Ltd. seeks a Senior Engineer Prof Engineering (Mechanical) to provide specialist engineering services to Peaking Power Stations in the Western Cape.

The role focuses on leading projects, developing lifecycle plans for generator mechanical systems and delivering technical support to ensure optimal plant performance. A minimum of four years in related engineering roles is expected.

Qualifications

• Leadership and relationship-building to support Peaking Generators Engineering.
• Ability to coach and mentor engineering teams on complex projects.
• Strong knowledge of design codes, standards, and engineering theory.

Responsibilities

• Resolve complex mechanical engineering problems affecting generator and plant performance.
• Develop and integrate lifecycle plans for generator mechanical systems.
• Provide specialist engineering advice and technical support to Peaking Power Stations.
• Manage engineering projects, plant modifications and investigations.
