Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Massage Therapist and Wellness Coordinator for a well-regarded wellness centre in Tembisa, Gauteng. The role combines hands-on massage delivery with coordinating wellness programs to enhance client well‑being.

The ideal candidate has an Advanced Diploma in Massage Therapy and at least 4 years of professional massage experience, with a broad range of modalities and strong anatomy knowledge. On-site role with focus on service excellence.

Qualifications

• Advanced Diploma or equivalent in Massage Therapy.
• Minimum 4 years of practical massage therapy experience.
• Proficiency in a wide range of massage modalities.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology and kinesiology.
• Excellent client assessment and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organisational and time management abilities.
• First Aid certification is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Provide a variety of advanced massage therapies, including deep tissue, Swedish, sports, and hot stone massages.
• Conduct thorough client assessments to understand their needs and tailor treatment plans accordingly.
• Coordinate and schedule wellness workshops and events, ensuring smooth logistics.
• Maintain detailed client records, including treatment plans and progress notes.
• Ensure all treatment rooms are clean, organised, and well‑stocked with necessary supplies.
• Uphold the highest standards of professionalism, hygiene, and client care.
• Assist in managing the therapist's schedule and optimising appointment bookings.
• Promote wellness services and products to clients, offering recommendations based on individual needs.
• Stay updated on the latest techniques and trends in massage therapy and holistic wellness.
• Contribute to a positive and serene atmosphere within the wellness centre.
