Our client, a tranquil and highly respected wellness spa located in the heart of Bloemfontein, Free State , is seeking an experienced Senior Massage Therapist and Spa Wellness Coordinator. This dual role demands a therapist with exceptional massage skills and a passion for holistic well-being, coupled with the ability to coordinate spa operations and guide clients on their wellness journeys. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of various massage modalities, exceptional client care skills, and a proactive approach to spa management. Key Responsibilities

Perform a wide range of therapeutic massage treatments, including Swedish, deep tissue, sports massage, and hot stone therapy, with expertise and precision. Conduct client consultations to assess their needs, tailor treatments, and provide recommendations for ongoing wellness. Coordinate daily spa operations, including managing therapist schedules, client bookings, and treatment room allocation. Ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and ambiance are maintained throughout the spa. Manage inventory of spa products and supplies, placing orders as needed and monitoring stock levels. Train and mentor junior therapists, sharing knowledge and ensuring consistent service quality. Assist in developing and implementing new treatment protocols and wellness programs. Handle client inquiries, bookings, and any client feedback or concerns with professionalism and empathy. Promote spa services and retail products to clients, encouraging holistic well-being. Stay updated on the latest trends and techniques in massage therapy and spa wellness.

Requirements

A recognized qualification in Massage Therapy or a related field. Minimum of 6 years of professional experience as a Massage Therapist, with demonstrable expertise in multiple modalities. Experience in a supervisory or coordinating role within a spa or wellness environment is highly desirable. Proven ability to conduct effective client consultations and develop personalized treatment plans. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and contraindications for massage therapy. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in using spa management software is an advantage. A passion for holistic health and wellness and a commitment to client well-being. Must possess a calm demeanor and professional presence suitable for a spa environment in Bloemfontein . First Aid certification is beneficial.
