Gauteng Growth and Development Agency in Rosslyn, Gauteng, invites applications for a Marketing and Communications Lead to plan, coordinate and manage events, drive brand and corporate identity initiatives, and oversee marketing materials and media relations.

The role requires a Grade 12, a National Diploma or Bachelor’s in Marketing/Communication, an Events Management Certificate, and at least five years in marketing/communications with three years in management.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric is required.
• National Diploma or Bachelor's in Marketing/Communication.
• Events Management Certificate.
• Project Management qualification is an added advantage.
• Registration with the Institute of Marketers will be advantageous.
• Minimum five (5) years relevant experience in marketing, communications and events management.
• Minimum three (3) years management experience.
• Knowledge of government and automotive sector stakeholder environments.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, media relations and brand management skills.

Responsabilités

• Plan, coordinate and manage internal and external events.
• Prepare and control event budgets.
• Represent the organisation at events.
• Coordinate event logistics and stakeholder participation.
• Compiling event reports and driving brand awareness initiatives.
• Managing design, development and distribution of marketing material.
• Draft articles, speeches, media statements and content.
• Manage media relations and respond to media enquiries.
• Monitor and protect the organisation’s reputation and support management with comms activities.
