Purpose Of The Role

The Senior Marketing Analytics & Automation Specialist exists to ensure every marketing decision at Dis-Chem Life is powered by accurate, timely, and actionable data.

Role Summary

This role is ideal for a hands‑on marketing analytics expert who thrives on accuracy, structure, and delivering insights that move the needle.

To succeed, you will need advanced technical competency in GA4, Google Tag Manager, Looker Studio, and CRM automation, paired with a sharp analytical mindset and the ability to translate complex tracking data into actionable recommendations.

You will work across channels, from paid media to SEO to CRM ensuring tracking frameworks are watertight, automation flows are seamless, and insights are delivered fast and clearly.

The role demands someone highly detail‑oriented, process‑driven, and confident in communicating across departments and seniority levels.

It also calls for a proactive problem‑solver who can troubleshoot discrepancies, maintain governance over UTM and attribution structures, and continuously improve marketing's data ecosystem for speed, accuracy, and insight generation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and manage GA4, Google Tag Manager, and tracking pixels across all performance and owned media channels
  • Create, enforce, and maintain consistent UTM frameworks for all campaigns
  • Set up, monitor, and optimise conversion events (Meta, Google Ads, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.)
  • Troubleshoot and resolve tracking discrepancies across platforms
  • Identify opportunities for A/B testing and conversion optimisation
  • Build and manage Looker Studio dashboards for real‑time campaign tracking
  • Deliver actionable insights to guide media and budget decisions
  • Provide analysis to support campaign optimisation and ROI improvements
  • Conduct basic SEO audits and implement technical fixes
  • Track organic performance and recommend improvements
  • Develop and manage pre‑lead automation flows in the CRM
  • Ensure accurate data integration between marketing platforms and CRM
  • Verify and reconcile media spend against lead volumes in the lead management system
  • Assist with ROI analysis, month‑end performance reporting, and provide lead volume and spend forecasts for the month ahead

  • Proven Looker Studio dashboard development and data visualization experience
  • Strong UTM governance, attribution modeling, and tracking strategy knowledge
  • CRM marketing automation experience (Zoho, HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.)
  • Strong Excel / Google Sheets data manipulation skills
  • SEO tools experience (Google Search Console, SEMrush)
  • Familiarity with heatmap / session replay tools (Microsoft Clarity)
  • Understanding of API integrations and data compliance (POPIA)
  • Meta Events Manager (Pixel & Conversions API) – Facebook / Instagram tracking
  • Google Ads conversion tracking – lead submissions, phone call tracking
  • 5–8+ years in marketing analytics, tracking, or related digital roles
  • Strong experience with marketing analytics platforms (Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Facebook Business Manager)
  • Experience with data visualization and reporting tools (Google Data Studio, Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
  • Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills
  • Strong UTM governance and attribution knowledge
  • Solid understanding of digital marketing channels and campaign measurement techniques
  • Experience in insurance, financial services, or high‑volume lead generation is a plus
  • API integration and broader MarTech experience is a plus
  • Familiarity with POPIA and marketing data compliance
