Placements24 invites a Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer to Upington, Northern Cape. You will optimize and troubleshoot manufacturing processes to boost efficiency, quality, and cost management.

You will design, implement and validate new processes, collaborating with production, R&D and QA to drive continuous improvements and maintain manufacturing excellence. The role requires a strong industrial engineering background, a proven track record in process improvement, and exceptional

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in manufacturing process engineering or similar.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, automation and equipment.
• Proven experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
• Proficiency in process simulation and data analysis tools.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong project management capabilities.
• Effective communication, interpersonal and team collaboration skills.
• Experience with CAD is a plus.
• Ability to work on-site in Upington, Northern Cape.

Responsibilities

• Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for efficiency, yield and cost reduction.
• Design, develop and implement new processes, equipment and technologies.
• Lead process validation and qualification activities for reliability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex process issues with corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, work instructions and process docs.
• Collaborate with R&D and product teams for new product introductions and scale-up.
• Ensure processes meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Train and mentor junior engineers and production staff.
• Conduct process capability studies and implement SPC measures.
• Stay updated with latest manufacturing technologies and methodologies.
