About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join their team in Upington. This role focuses on improving and optimizing manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, product quality, and cost-effectiveness. You will work with production teams to implement best practices, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities

• Analyze manufacturing operations to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement in production flow.
• Design, develop, and implement new manufacturing processes, tooling, and equipment to enhance productivity and quality.
• Lead projects focused on lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions for manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure products meet all specified standards and regulations.
• Provide technical support and training to production personnel on new processes and equipment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering or process engineering roles.
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and tools (e.g., 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping).
• Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to implement practical solutions effectively.
• Proficiency in CAD software and manufacturing simulation tools is a plus.
