Job Description Are you a strategic procurement leader ready to make a lasting impact across a dynamic organisation?

Our client is seeking a Senior Manager : Procurement to provide strategic leadership and oversight of the procurement function at their Head Office in Constantia Kloof.

This pivotal role will shape and execute the organisation's procurement strategy, driving efficiency, compliance, and value across all purchasing categories.

The successful candidate will report to the Executive : Corporate Services and manage a team of procurement professionals and specialists, ensuring the delivery of best-in-class supply chain performance while aligning with the organisation's broader business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive procurement strategy aligned with corporate objectives.
  • Lead the tendering process, contract management, and supplier relationship management across multiple categories.
  • Drive governance and compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.
  • Establish key performance indicators to measure procurement effectiveness and ensure continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership, tender committees, and external stakeholders to optimise value creation.
  • Provide strategic direction and mentorship to the procurement team, fostering professional growth and operational excellence.
  • Oversee the implementation of BBBEE strategies and adherence to King IV governance principles.
Key Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Purchasing, or a related field.
  • MCIPS certification (or equivalent) essential.
  • Minimum of 10 years' procurement experience, including at least 5 years at a senior management level.
  • Proven experience in strategic sourcing, contract and tender management, and supplier relations.
  • Strong working knowledge of SAP ERP systems.
  • Solid understanding of supply chain compliance, category management, and BBBEE frameworks.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills, with the ability to influence and engage at executive level.
  • Willingness to travel nationally and internationally as required.
