  • Ensure rollout of the master plan in ArcelorMittal South Africa

  • Ensure overall budget control and compliance to financial governance rules


4. Maximising operating profit and cash flow while effectively managing cost.

  • Ensure yearly budget preparation and compliance
  • Ensure sustainability by achievement of CAPEX budget on annual basis
  • Ensure effective stock management
  • Take ownership of Business Improvement initiatives and commitment to targets

5. Continuously optimize sustainable throughput by improving processes, quality, cost and efficiencies

  • Maximise steel plant value chain by optimising the different steel making units within the steel plant
  • Ensure sustainable output of products at minimum cost, with quality and service required by the customer
  • Manage the actions for continuous and sustainable improvement on throughput, efficiency, quality and cost
  • Take responsibility for agreed performance targets
  • Ensure roll-out of standardisation initiatives

Qualifications and Experience

  • Applicable B-Degree (NQF8) as well as, a Management Development Program
  • MBA would be advantageous
  • Understanding of the steel business
  • Technical and commercial acumen
  • Leading and managing large diverse teams
  • Understanding of SHE and other statutory, regulatory or policy requirements
