Key Responsibilities
- Functional Strategy Formation: Lead the development and implementation of the Media and Channel Integration strategy, ensuring alignment with wider corporate strategy.
- Leadership and Direction: Communicate actions needed to implement the strategy and brand plans; inspire commitment across teams.
- Marketing: Oversee effective creation, implementation, and maintenance of Media and Channel Integration strategies to achieve ROI and brand presence.
- Budgeting & Costing: Manage and optimise budgets to deliver against business objectives.
- Brand: Ensure integration of A&G, Virseker & Partnerships media strategy with the overall brand strategy.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Manage stakeholders up to C-suite level, leading engagement plans and collaboration with Marketing Managers.
- Customer Relationship Management: Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and influencers.
- Contract Management: Oversee media buying and partner relationships; negotiate service-level agreements.
- Continuous Improvement: Implement innovation processes and stay up to date with media market developments.
- Performance Management: Lead a diverse team, set objectives, monitor performance, and implement corrective actions.
- Digital Marketing Capabilities: Contribute to the digital marketing roadmap, enablement strategies, and capability building.
Education
- Grade 12/ SAQA Accredited Equivalent (Essential)
- Relevant 3-year Business-related degree/diploma in Commerce, Marketing, Media, or Advertising (Essential)
Experience
- 8-10 years experience in Media or Channel Strategy environment (Essential)
