The role requires a degree in IT or a related field, along with 10 years of relevant experience, including 5 years in a managerial position. Senior Manager Information Assurance

Job Purpose: To direct the enterprise information assurance including leading the development, implementation and assessment of cyber and information security strategies, solutions, policies standards, processes, and programme as well as governance risk and compliance and information communication technology continuity in line with the objectives of the organisation.

Key responsibilities
  • To develop, deliver and maintain a security strategy that addresses current and future business needs and provides a framework to resolve security threats.
  • To provide leadership, direction and technical advice and support to the business and ICT Operations team in the delivery of high quality cyber and information security services and programs.
  • To develop, oversee the implementation and adherence to approved information assurance operating policies, procedures, standards and processes.
  • To direct risk identification, assessment, and remediation as well as ensuring effective governance and compliance across the ICT landscape.
  • To lead cyber and Information Security projects and initiatives that improve compliance across the organization.
  • To contribute to the development and reporting against the strategic objectives of the group and/or division.
  • To ensure management of both human and financial resources by adhering to human capital and financial management administrative strategies, policies, procedures and processes.

Qualifications and experience
  • Required Minimum Education / Training
  • Degree in IT, Computer Science or Risk Management
  • Certified in one or more of the following: CISM, CISSP, CRISC, GIAC, or equivalent
  • COBIT 5 or 2019 and ISO27000 certification would be an added advantage
  • Required Minimum Experience
  • 10 years Relevant Experience, with five years managerial experience in (IT GRC, Cybersecurity or ICT Continuity)
