A government commission in Pretoria is seeking a Senior Manager for Information Assurance to lead the development, implementation, and assessment of cyber and information security strategies. The role requires a degree in IT or a related field, along with 10 years of relevant experience, including 5 years in a managerial position. The successful candidate will direct risk assessments and improve cybersecurity measures across the organization. This is a permanent position with the responsibility of adhering to human capital and financial management strategies.

Job Purpose: To direct the enterprise information assurance including leading the development, implementation and assessment of cyber and information security strategies, solutions, policies standards, processes, and programme as well as governance risk and compliance and information communication technology continuity in line with the objectives of the organisation.
Applicants may, as a step in the recruitment process, be subjected to competency assessment. In addition, the successful candidate must be prepared to undergo a process of security clearance prior to appointment.
Qualifications and SA citizenship checks will be conducted on the successful candidate. It is the applicant’s responsibility to have foreign qualifications evaluated by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA).
It will be expected of candidates to be available for selection interviews on a date, time and place as determined by CIPC.
