Critical Performance Area

The incumbent will be responsible to perform the following functions but not limited:

Responsibilities
  • Cybersecurity Strategy, Standards & Governance — Define enterprise security strategy aligned with NIST, ISO, and emerging quantum standards.
  • Establish governance for secure communications (e.g., end-to-end encryption, VPNs, secure collaboration tools).
  • Integrate regulatory compliance (POPIA / GDPR) and quantum risk frameworks.
  • Drive board-level cyber risk reporting and security culture programs.
  • Ensure integration of cybersecurity into enterprise risk management and business continuity planning.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Grade 12; Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 10+ years in cybersecurity, IT risk management, or information security, with 3-5 years in a management role.
  • Proven experience in developing cybersecurity strategies, managing SOC operations, and leading enterprise-wide security initiatives.
  • Hands‑on experience with regulatory compliance (POPIA, GDPR, NIST, ISO, and cybersecurity frameworks).
  • Background in threat intelligence, incident response, and risk assessment methodologies.
Additional Certifications (Added Advantage)
  • CISSP, CISM, CEH, CCSP (Cloud Security), QKD Specialist.
