LLB; admitted as an attorney of the High Court
Experience
At least 10 years post-qualification legal experience, of which at least 8 years should be as a legal advisor within non-banking financial services

Key responsibilities
- Legal support to a range of group companies and business units (e.g. wealth management, asset management, collective investment scheme management company, linked long-term insurer, treasury solutions and marketing)
- Legal support to the Compliance department
- Advice on legal considerations relating to new business ventures and assisting with the legal aspects of implementation of these
- Advice on compliance with relevant legislation
- Proactive advice to businesses on relevant legal developments
- Providing opinions on legal matters of relevance to the business
- Drafting and vetting of contracts (both in relation to financial services and those of a more general commercial nature)
- Drafting and vetting of client documentation and correspondence
- Liaising with external legal service providers
- Representing group companies in negotiations of contractual provisions with external suppliers
- Representing ASISA, as needed, and contributing to commentary on behalf of Citadel to ASISA or directly to regulatory bodies, on various proposed regulatory changes.
