Qualifications

  • Three (3) years pharmaceutical industry experience at a junior-management or professional level with retail experience or exposure.
  • Five (5) years of experience in client management.

Position Summary

Senior Key Account Manager – Exports

Location: Gauteng – Base Lea Glen branch

Contract: Permanent – EE position: Yes

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive revenue growth and ensure exceptional client satisfaction across key government and strategic accounts in regional export markets.
  • Manage full tender lifecycle including sourcing, documentation preparation, internal approvals, submission, and post‑award execution.
  • Ensure compliance and accuracy of submissions; obtain formal sign‑off from line management.
  • Negotiate commercial terms, SLAs, and performance commitments for awarded tenders.
  • Monitor adherence to contractual KPIs, SLAs, and compliance requirements across markets.
  • Act as primary escalation point for account‑related matters and ensure timely resolution.
  • Translate client requirements into executable internal actions and ensure end‑to‑end delivery.
  • Conduct structured client engagements, including monthly feedback meetings and formal review sessions.
  • Oversee CAPA processes, CRM activity, stock reconciliations, and audit requirements for export markets.
  • Continuously monitor market dynamics, regulatory changes, and competitor activity across all export territories.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to internal stakeholders and leadership to support export strategy and product positioning.
  • Identify emerging market opportunities and assist in shaping go‑to‑market responses.
  • Drive commercial performance and sales management ensuring purchase orders, stock availability, pricing alignment, and credit processes are managed.
  • Reconcile supplier and customer statements, manage weekly payments, and ensure compliance to agreements.
  • Prepare weekly scorecards, KPI updates, and presentations for stakeholders.
  • Maintain and close CRMs within 7 days and manage all outgoing and incoming payments.
  • Assist line manager and executive with reports and analysis needed for meetings.
