Job summary

Impronics Technologies in Gauteng seeks an experienced Payment Architecture -Java leader to design and implement scalable payment solutions for financial services. You will shape end-to-end architecture across processing, settlement, reconciliation, and reporting.

Lead architecture reviews, define API and integration strategies, mentor teams, and drive DevSecOps practices. Strong focus on security, resilience, and high availability.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering with architecture focus.
• Experience in banking, financial services, or enterprise payment platforms.
• Strong Java 17/21 and Spring ecosystem expertise.
• Cloud and security-conscious design experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect enterprise payment apps using Java and Spring Boot.
• Define end-to-end architecture for payment processing, transaction management, settlement, reconciliation, and reporting.
• Design scalable, cloud-native microservices and event-driven architectures for high-volume payment systems.
• Collaborate with business, product, engineering, and infrastructure teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Define API and integration architecture for enterprise payment systems and internal banking platforms.
• Lead architecture reviews, technical design discussions, and technology selection.
• Create architecture documentation including High-Level Design, Low-Level Design, sequence diagrams, and integration specs.
• Drive best practices for software architecture, CI/CD, and DevSecOps.
• Mentor engineering teams and provide technical leadership throughout the SDLC.
