Job summary

Studio Ashby, an internationally recognised interior architecture and design studio with a Cape Town studio, seeks a Senior Interior Designer to lead IA and FF&E across multiple South African and international projects.

You will mentor junior staff, collaborate with Directors and Associates, and contribute to delivering luxury residential, hospitality and commercial environments from concept through to installation.

Qualifications

• Requires a degree in Interior Design/Interior Architecture.
• 7+ years post-graduate experience with at least 4 years in luxury residential.
• Proficiency with Vectorworks, Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead the creative and conceptual stages of projects alongside Directors and Associates.
• Provide strong project leadership and seamless service, with excellent communication throughout.
• Deliver space planning and ensure compliance with planning processes and building regulations.
• Produce delivery drawings and specifications to a design intent package level, and coordinate documentation.
• Mentor and support Middleweight and Junior Designers; drive studio processes and quality.
• Oversee multiple projects, manage client relationships, and ensure timely progress reports.
