Placements24 is seeking an experienced Insurance Risk Manager to lead risk initiatives from their Bloemfontein office. You will identify, assess and mitigate risks, ensuring regulatory compliance and safeguarding assets and reputation.

In this role you will develop robust risk frameworks, collaborate with senior leadership, and drive a risk-aware culture across the organization. Prior leadership, strong communication, and CRM/FRM/PRM certifications are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Finance, Risk Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in risk management, preferably within the insurance sector.
• In-depth knowledge of risk assessment methodologies, regulatory compliance, and financial modeling.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing risk management frameworks.
• Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
• Professional certifications such as CRM, FRM, or PRM are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement enterprise-wide risk management strategies and frameworks.
• Identify, assess, and quantify potential financial, operational, and strategic risks.
• Design and oversee internal controls to mitigate identified risks.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations and legal requirements.
• Develop risk management policies, procedures, and training programs.
• Monitor key risk indicators and report on the organization's risk profile to senior leadership.
