Placements24 is recruiting an Insurance Actuary for our client in Mahikeng, North West. The role focuses on pricing, reserving, and capital management to strengthen solvency and profitability.

You will model complex data, provide insights to guide strategic decisions, and collaborate with underwriting, finance, and risk teams. The successful candidate will be fellowship- or near-fellowship-qualified with strong communication and presentation skills, and have knowledge of SA insurance

Qualifications

• Fellowship or near-fellowship status with a recognized actuarial society.
• Significant experience as an Actuary in the insurance industry.
• Expertise in actuarial software and modeling techniques.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain actuarial models for pricing, reserving, and capital management.
• Analyze insurance data to assess financial risks and predict future outcomes.
• Set premiums and reserves based on sound actuarial principles and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct financial projections and support strategic planning initiatives.
