Job Description
  • Provide high‑quality and timely IT infrastructure support to ensure the availability, stability and performance of FNZ datacentres, platforms and corporate systems.
  • Manage AIX servers, SAN and storage arrays, backup, replication, HA and recovery technologies.
  • Handle AIX server security management, hardware and organisational design.
  • Administer and manage all development, UAT, pre‑production, production and DR environments, as well as internal corporate IT systems.
  • Ensure applications are available, performant, secure, reliable and cost‑effective, and that new system delivery is high quality, on time and within budget.
Specific Responsibilities
  • Availability: meet uptime SLAs each month by managing and resolving issue logs, performing scheduled maintenance, and managing third‑party support contracts.
  • Performance: meet performance SLAs through monitoring system performance, capacity and growth, and by suggesting and implementing improvements and hardware/software refreshes.
  • Information Security: ensure the FNZ network and systems are secure, follow policies and procedures, document for audit purposes, implement security projects, complete risk assessments and build guides for new and existing systems.
  • Business Continuity: secure and back up FNZ‑held data, test backups, participate in BCP & DR tests, ensure new builds meet resilience requirements, and document resilience and backup plans.
  • Training: develop professional and technical knowledge and skills.
  • Provide technical advice and mentoring within the team.
  • Project Work: implement new projects to meet timelines and deadlines.
  • Budget: recommend cost‑saving changes to the IT manager.
Experience Required
