Overview

This position will help ensure overall availability and reliability to meet or exceed defined service levels of data center operations.

The candidate must have experience in people management, a strong technical understanding, and the drive and vision to take Tracker Data Center Operations to the next level. The successful candidate will have experience creating / devising strategies, mentoring people at all levels, sponsoring projects, and proposing technical solutions.

All candidates should be willing to work both independently.

Work prioritization, organizational skills, effective communication, and the ability to react quickly are critical to being successful.

This team works in an environment that operates 24 / 7.

Responsibilities

• Lead teams in Server Support, VMware support, SAN/Array support, Backup support, and Linux support.
• Manage servers: ensure firmware and drivers are up‑to‑date, limit user access, back up data according to business owners, and monitor performance and uptime.
• Set up and configure storage devices, perform routine maintenance, liaise with 3rd‑party vendors, upgrade firmware, and manage all disk capacity planning and monitoring.
• Create and maintain backup and restore procedures, perform regular restoration tests, monitor backup hardware/software, procure media, and ensure compliance with retention cycles.
• Manage disaster recovery: replicate critical business systems, manage the DR infrastructure plan, maintain DR Datacenter availability and stability, DR connectivity, and capacity.
• Manage application servers: define and review SLAs with business users, ensure availability in line with agreed SLA.
• Manage Tracker Data Center facilities (collocated or owned): secure infrastructure, monitor environmental conditions, perform capacity planning, and implement appropriate actions based on capacity monitoring.
