Role Summary
Fulfil the role of a strategic technical leader who is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust, scalable, and secure IT infrastructure. This role demands a proactive innovator who thrives on optimizing systems for efficiency, simplicity, and cost-effectiveness. The ideal candidate is a collaborative team player with advanced expertise across virtualization, cloud platforms, backup solutions, server hardware, containerization, and systems architecture.
Key Responsibilities
- Platform Engineering – platform engineering with a strong emphasis on cloud engineering expertise (preferably Azure or AWS), infrastructure automation and orchestration, CI/CD pipeline integration, containerization and microservices architecture, and infrastructure design & optimization.
- Architect and implement scalable, secure, and cost‑effective IT systems, continuously assessing and enhancing infrastructure for performance, reliability, and simplicity.
- Systems Administration & Monitoring – manage virtualized environments (VMware, Hyper‑V) and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), oversee server hardware lifecycle, configuration, and performance tuning, and implement and maintain monitoring tools for proactive issue detection and resolution.
- Security & Risk Management – enforce server security protocols and conduct regular risk assessments, ensure compliance with internal and external security standards, and manage technology infrastructure assets and lifecycle.
- Backup & Disaster Recovery – design and manage enterprise‑grade backup and recovery solutions, test and validate disaster recovery procedures regularly.
- Containerization & DevOps Support – deploy and manage containerised applications using Docker and Kubernetes, collaborate with development teams to streamline CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaboration & Leadership – mentor junior engineers, contribute to cross‑functional projects, and work closely with IT leadership to align infrastructure with business goals.

Qualifications
Minimum 5–7 years of experience in systems engineering or infrastructure roles.
