Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, program, and commission industrial automation systems, including PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, and robotics.
• Lead the specification, selection, and integration of automation hardware and software components.
• Develop control logic and algorithms to optimize process performance, efficiency, and safety.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex automation issues in a remote setting, providing technical support to on-site teams when necessary.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, operations) to define automation requirements and project scope.
• Implement industrial network solutions (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Profinet) and ensure system cybersecurity.
• Develop and maintain automation documentation, including P&IDs, control narratives, electrical schematics, and user manuals.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in industrial automation technology and recommend innovative solutions.
• Mentor junior automation engineers and provide technical guidance on automation projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Master's degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in industrial automation engineering, with a significant focus on designing and implementing complex automated systems.
• Proficiency in programming major PLC platforms (e.g., Rockwell/Allen-Bradley, Siemens) and experience with HMI/SCADA software (e.g., FactoryTalk View, WinCC).
• Hands-on experience with industrial robots (e.g., FANUC, KUKA, ABB) and their programming.
• Strong understanding of industrial networking protocols and cybersecurity best practices.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, with a meticulous attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to manage automation projects remotely and collaborate effectively with distributed teams.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of explaining technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience with simulation software for automation design is advantageous.
