Job summary

Time Personnel in Cape Town is seeking an Imports Procurement Manager to oversee import procurement of electronics/tech products. You will lead negotiations, price strategies and supplier audits to improve margins and service levels.

The role requires a tertiary qualification in procurement/finance and at least 10 years in a similar electronics/technology B2B environment, with international logistics exposure and strong leadership.

Qualifications

• Relevant commercial tertiary qualification – Procurement / Finance or similar
• Minimum ten years experience in a similar role in electronics/technology B2B sales
• Strong experience in negotiations and pricing strategies
• Ability to analyse performance metrics and market trends
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Experience with international import supply chain management

Responsibilities

• Reporting into Directors
• Lead price negotiations with suppliers and approve pricing and margin
• Own supplier qualification and audits
• Manage Procurement & Logistics – lead price negotiations with suppliers
• Approve pricing & profit margin, quality check quotations
• Negotiate service level agreements with suppliers
• Develop and implement strategies to enhance customer service and profitability
• Drive improvements in order processing efficiency and turnaround times
• ERP optimisation and standardisation
• Lead operations meetings and ensure statutory compliance
• Develop and maintain SOPs for order management processes
• Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and sales for seamless order fulfilment
• Participate in customer meetings and negotiations as required
