We are seeking an experienced Senior Hyperion Consultant to lead the design, implementation, and support of Oracle Hyperion enterprise performance management (EPM) solutions. You’ll collaborate with finance, IT, and business teams to deliver scalable systems that enhance financial planning, forecasting, and reporting processes.

Title: Senior Hyperion Consultant

Location: Gauteng (Hybrid)

Experience: 8+ years

Employment Type: Full-time 6 to 12 month renewable contract

Key Responsibilities

• Lead installation, configuration, and upgrades of Oracle Hyperion systems (Essbase, Planning, HFM).
• Design and implement tailored Hyperion Planning and EPM applications.
• Manage metadata and dimensional structures within EPMA.
• Monitor and maintain Hyperion infrastructure for performance and availability.
• Troubleshoot issues, optimize Essbase cube performance, and improve reporting efficiency.
• Collaborate with finance and IT stakeholders to analyze business requirements and deliver technical solutions.
• Support financial consolidation, budgeting, and reporting processes.
• Conduct end-user training and develop comprehensive documentation.
• Ensure data integrity, compliance, and support for audit and regulatory reporting (e.g., SOX).

Skills & Experience

• Deep expertise in Oracle Hyperion Suite: Planning, Essbase, HFM, DRM, FDMEE, EPMA.
• Strong understanding of financial processes and enterprise performance management (EPM).
• Proficient in SQL, MDX, VBA, and Business Rules.
• Hands‑on experience with system architecture, infrastructure management, and performance tuning.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proven ability to work with cross‑functional teams on large‑scale EPM implementations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in Hyperion consulting or enterprise financial systems.
• Oracle certifications (e.g., Hyperion Planning Cloud Service) preferred.
