Placements24 is seeking an experienced Senior High School Mathematics Teacher to join our client in Midrand. The role focuses on developing a deep understanding of mathematical concepts among students aged 14-18 and preparing them for academic success.

You will shape curriculum, mentor junior teachers, and create engaging learning environments that foster curiosity and critical thinking, using modern teaching methods and educational technology.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or related field.
• PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Minimum of 5 years teaching mathematics at high school level.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver mathematics lessons across grades 9-12.
• Assess student progress using assignments, tests and projects.
• Incorporate innovative teaching methods and educational technology.
• Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary learning initiatives.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to students and junior teachers.
• Participate in departmental meetings and school events.
