Job description

We're actively recruiting a Senior Growth Analyst as we continue to scale our growing Product - Growth team here at M-KOPA.

You'll turn messy, multi‑channel data into clear, trustworthy decisions that grow the business profitably.

Your dashboards and models will directly unlock repeat purchase, upgrade conversion, retention and customer lifetime value.

We've already helped over 7 million customers access over $2 billion in credit.

It's your chance to be part of something that's literally transforming lives across an entire continent.

Impact
  • Mission‑driven analytics: your dashboards and models will directly influence strategies that bring digital and financial inclusion to Africa's Every Day Earners.
  • Global recognition: join a company named by TIME as one of the world's most influential and by the Financial Times as Africa's fastest‑growing for four consecutive years.
  • Scale challenges: process data from millions of daily transactions across five markets, combining mobile‑app analytics, CRM systems, telesales data, and legacy spreadsheets into a single source of truth.
  • Environmental impact: we are carbon‑negative, having displaced over two million tonnes of emissions.
What You’ll Do
  • Own the growth measurement framework – defining key events, conversion funnels, customer cohorts, and success metrics across mobile app, CRM systems and telesales channels.
  • Build the Looker analytics layer: collaborate with analytics engineers to create reusable LookML data models, set up governed metrics, automated data tables, user permissions, and use Git for version control.
  • Move from spreadsheets to a single source of truth: audit Excel files, recreate them as data models using dbt, and replace manual tracking with automated Looker dashboards.
  • Lead the transition to data‑driven tools: help teams migrate from manual spreadsheet tracking to automated dashboards, including migrating funnel data input into structured systems.
  • Build automated dashboards: create dashboards for upgrade conversion rates, repeat purchase behaviour, customer lifetime value (LTV) and unit economics.
  • Design agent performance and incentive analytics: build dashboards tracking call volume, conversion rates, talk‑time efficiency, lead quality and revenue per agent.
  • Design data‑driven incentive structures and real‑time leaderboards.
  • Calculate and track customer lifetime value: build models estimating profit per customer cohort and track early signals predicting long‑term value.
Analytics Environment & Tools
  • Data transformation: dbt, SQL
  • Visualization: Looker, LookML
  • Product analytics: Amplitude, Mixpanel, Statsig
  • CRM & engagement: Braze, CleverTap, FreshDesk
  • Analysis: Python or R
  • Data pipeline: Fivetran, Stitch, Airbyte
  • Version control: Git
Qualifications
  • Proven track record in product analytics at a fintech, telco, e‑commerce or subscription company.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with dbt for building reliable data models.
  • Hands‑on experience with Looker (dashboards, LookML, data governance and permissions).
  • Python or R for analysing experiments, building cohort models and calculating customer lifetime value.
  • Experience combining data from multiple sources (Amplitude, Mixpanel, Statsig, Braze, CleverTap, call‑center data).
  • Understanding of experiment design and analysis.
  • Experience designing performance metrics and incentive structures.
Why You’ll Have Direct Impact

You’ll build systems from the ground up, transform how teams work by moving them from spreadsheets to modern data platforms, and see the tangible results of your work in improved customer experiences and business growth.

Location & Benefits
