About the Role

Our client, a prominent consultancy within the Energy sector, is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join their team in Mossel Bay, Western Cape . This role is crucial for ensuring the stability and safety of various energy infrastructure projects, including offshore platforms, wind farms, and pipelines. You will be responsible for planning and overseeing site investigations, analyzing geotechnical data, and providing expert design recommendations. Key Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, and execute geotechnical investigations, including site reconnaissance, drilling, and in-situ testing.

• Proven experience in site investigation planning and execution, data analysis, and interpretation.
• Strong knowledge of soil mechanics, rock mechanics, and foundation engineering principles.
• Experience with geotechnical software for analysis and modeling (e.g., PLAXIS, GEO5).
• Familiarity with international codes and standards relevant to offshore and onshore energy projects.
• Excellent report writing and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
• Experience with coastal or offshore geotechnical investigations is highly desirable.
• Professional registration (e.g., Pr. Eng., CEng) is a strong advantage.
