Qualifications

• PhD in Genomics, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Bioinformatics, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years post-PhD or industry experience in genomics.

• Strong statistics and population genetics knowledge.
• Experience with large data management and visualization.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement genomic experiments, including whole-genome sequencing, exome sequencing, RNA-Seq, and ChIP-Seq.

• Develop and validate new genomic assays and analytical pipelines.
• Collaborate with clinicians, biologists, and data scientists to interpret genomic findings and their biological significance.

• Ensure the quality and integrity of generated genomic data and experimental protocols.

Requirements

• PhD in Genomics, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Bioinformatics, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of post-doctoral or industry experience in genomics research.
• Extensive hands-on experience with various next-generation sequencing (NGS) platforms and library preparation methods.
• Proficiency in bioinformatics tools and programming languages (e.g., Python, R) for genomic data analysis.
• Strong understanding of statistical genetics and population genetics principles.
• Experience with data management and visualization of large genomic datasets.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Proven ability to manage research projects and work independently.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting.
• Experience with clinical genomics or variant interpretation is a plus.
