Role Purpose

As the Lead Functional Analyst, you will be the bridge between business strategy and technical execution. Your primary purpose is to ensure efficient and cost-effective business solutions and processes are in place by expertly eliciting, analysing, validating, and documenting highly complex business, organisational, and operational requirements.

You will lead configuration and development initiatives, guide a team of Functional Analysts, and co-create sustainable solutions with system designers, leveraging your specialised knowledge of systems analysis and highly complex application testing.

Key Responsibilities and Impact

• Technical & Team Leadership: Act as the technical lead for Functional Analysts I & II, providing mentorship, guidance, and coordinating work to ensure all commitments are met.
• Expert Analysis & Design: Perform functional and technical analysis of highly complex requirements. Document and translate these into fit-for-purpose designs and author detailed functional specifications for developers.
• Gap Analysis & Problem Solving: Lead and perform intricate gap analyses to define functional requirements, identify problem areas, and drive process improvement initiatives.
• Solution Customisation & Delivery: Execute and lead the customisation of solutions, converting complex requirements into practical configurations, and driving deliverables in compliance with the system lifecycle.
• Agile Champion: Facilitate scrum ceremonies (stand‑ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, etc.) and champion agile methodologies to foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Testing & Quality Assurance: Oversee test analysis, preparation of test scripts, execution of scenarios, and maintain auditable documentation. Perform quality assurance and code reviews.
• Stakeholder Alignment: Present functional designs, obtain agreement and sign‑off from stakeholders, and build a strong, trusting relationship with both business and IT partners.
