Job summary

Qualifications

• 7+ years of commercial software development experience.

• Experience with Azure Service Bus or similar messaging technologies.

Senior Full Stack Developer (.NET/Azure)

Location: Rosebank, Johannesburg

Working Model: Onsite – 5 days per week

The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Senior Full Stack Developer to join a growing engineering team based in Rosebank.

This is a full-stack position with a strong back-end focus, suited to an experienced C#/.NET developer who is comfortable working across the application when required. You will work on a large-scale SaaS platform used by major organisations to support complex operational and workforce decisions.

You’ll join a cross-functional engineering squad and work across back-end services, APIs, databases, cloud infrastructure and integrations, while collaborating closely with front-end developers, QA and product teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable applications using C# and .NET
• Build and maintain REST APIs and back-end services
• Work with SQL Server, Entity Framework and Dapper
• Develop solutions using Microsoft Azure, including Azure Service Bus, Blob Storage, App Configuration and Redis
• Contribute to service-oriented, messaging and event-driven architectures
• Work across the full application stack when required and collaborate closely with React front-end developers
• Design APIs and integrations that are scalable, reliable and easy to consume
• Troubleshoot application, database and service performance issues
• Participate in architecture discussions, technical design and code reviews
• Contribute to automated testing, CI/CD pipelines and Azure DevOps
• Work within an Agile/SAFe development environment
• Support and share knowledge with less experienced developers

Essential Experience

• 7+ years' commercial software development experience
• Strong hands-on development experience with C# and .NET / .NET Core
• Strong experience building REST APIs and back-end services
• Good understanding of service-oriented and distributed application architecture
• Commercial experience with Microsoft Azure
• Experience with Azure Service Bus or similar messaging technologies
• Strong SQL Server experience, including query performance and database design
• Experience with Entity Framework / EF Core
• Understanding of the wider full stack and ability to work across application layers when required
• Experience with Git, pull requests and CI/CD
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum development teams
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
