Job summary

Boardroom Appointments is seeking a Senior Frontend Developer with Angular and Mobile App experience to join our client’s tech team in Gauteng. You will develop web and hybrid mobile apps, create reusable components and drive deployment ownership across frontend applications.

The role requires Angular 13 experience, HTML/CSS/SCSS, and REST integration, with bonus exposure to AWS Amplify/AppSync. A relevant bachelor's degree and 6+ years of frontend work are preferred, with opportunities to

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Web and Hybrid Mobile Applications
• Create and standardise reusable components and user journeys
• Create boilerplate templates to enable other team members to develop Micro-Frontends
• Take full ownership of all frontend applications in terms of deployments and release management
• Ensure full understanding of systems including infrastructure, integrations, back-end and front-end logic
• Assist with support requests escalated to 3rd Line Support
• Stay updated on programming languages and AWS services
• Encourage continuous learning and relevant certifications
• Improve performance and system stability
• Adhere to Agile practices and methodologies

Job description

Our Core Platform is continuously evolving in line with new customer requirements, value adding features and new technologies. Our primary focus is to standardise and simplify the various administrator and end-user journeys throughout the different Web Portals and Mobile Apps. Our system is used by more than 100k households across South Africa on a daily basis, so the frontend journeys must be optimised, user friendly and modern.

We are looking for a Senior Frontend Developer with Angular and Mobile App experience to join the team to develop, maintain and continuously improve the frontend applications.

What you will be doing:

• Develop and maintain Web and Hybrid Mobile Applications
• Create and standardise reusable components and user journeys
• Create boilerplate templates to enable other team members to develop Micro-Frontends
• Take full ownership of all frontend applications in terms of deployments and release management
• Ensure full understanding of all systems. This includes infrastructure, integrations, back-end and front-end business logic and technology stack
• Assist with support requests that have been escalated to the development 3rd Line Support
• Staying abreast of developments in programming languages and AWS services
• Continuous learning and relevant certifications for both professional and personal development are encouraged
• Continuous improvement of performance and system stability
• Adhere to Agile practices and methodologies

What we are looking for:

• Experience in Web, Mobile and Hybrid Web Apps (using Angular and Ionic Framework).
• Angular 2+ (We are currently using Angular 13)
• HTML & CSS/SCSS
• UI/UX Design will be beneficial but not required
• Angular integration with Rest Services
• Experience in publishing Apps to App Store & Play Store
• Knowledge of, or exposure to, AWS Amplify/AppSync is a plus

Education & Experience Requirements:

• Necessary training / education in skills required above.
• Relevant bachelors degree (B.SC Computer Studies or IT / B.Eng. Computer, Electronic) would be preferred.
