Job summary

FirstRand Bank Limited seeks a senior Foreign Banks Network Management Specialist to lead complex correspondent banking activities, foreign currency clearing, nostro and custody operations. You will guide KYC and regulatory governance, oversee provider performance and payment escalations, and support strategic network initiatives.

The role requires independent, high-level collaboration with internal stakeholders and external banks, with strong analytical discipline and vendor-management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, banking, economics, accounting or related field.
• Postgraduate qualification is advantageous.
• 4–7 years of banking experience with deep exposure to correspondent banking and related operations.

Responsibilities

• Act as senior technical authority on correspondent banking, foreign currency clearing, nostro and custody operations.
• Lead complex KYC, RMA and regulatory governance matters with correspondent banks.
• Oversee provider performance and service delivery with external banks.
• Lead payment escalation and drive root-cause resolution.
• Support commercial negotiations, RFPs/RFIs and value tracking.
• Contribute to design and delivery of network-related strategic initiatives.
• Engage internal stakeholders and external banks with credibility.
