Job Purpose

To assist in leading and organising the Food & Beverage team to deliver the highest levels of guest service and operational excellence, in alignment with company standards, while ensuring the financial success and sustainability of the department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Leadership:
    • Support outlet management in the daily operations of all Food & Beverage outlets.
    • Maintain an active floor presence during peak service periods, ensuring smooth operations and superior guest experiences.
    • Plan and execute Food & Beverage special events and promotions to drive revenue and enhance brand visibility.
    • Ensure the department is adequately resourced with all necessary operating equipment, consumables, and beverages.
    • Oversee proper stock control, storage, and variance management, taking responsibility for resolving discrepancies.
    • Ensure all billing, cash‑up, and pricing procedures are correctly executed to meet revenue and gross profit targets.
  • People Management & Development:
    • Lead, motivate, and mentor team members to deliver exceptional service and achieve departmental goals.
    • Foster a positive, supportive work culture that encourages teamwork, accountability, and professional growth.
    • Conduct regular coaching, training, and on‑the‑job learning opportunities to enhance team skills and performance.
    • Manage staff rosters to align with business demands while maintaining optimal labour costs and employee work‑life balance.
    • Apply performance management and corrective action procedures fairly and consistently, in line with company policies.
    • Promote strong internal communication and collaboration across all departments.
  • Guest Experience:
    • Ensure a welcoming, professional, and attentive service experience for all guests.
    • Proactively address and resolve guest concerns or complaints with empathy and efficiency.
    • Maintain visibility in the operation to anticipate guest needs and uphold service standards.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Contribute to the review and improvement of departmental procedures and hotel policies.
    • Identify opportunities for process optimisation, cost savings, and enhanced guest satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior Food & Beverage management role within a 5-star hotel environment.
  • Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Proven experience in budgeting, stock control, and financial reporting.
  • A passion for hospitality, guest service, and developing high‑performing teams.
  • Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.
  • Relevant qualification in Hospitality Management or related field.
