Job summary

Placements24 is partnering with a respected FMCG player in Vereeniging to hire a Senior Product Manager who will lead the end-to-end lifecycle of a diverse product portfolio, from concept to launch and post-launch analysis.

The role requires strong market analysis, consumer insights, and the ability to translate trends into winning product strategies, working closely with R&D, marketing, sales, and supply chain teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing/Business/related field; MBA preferred.
• 6–8 years of progressive product management experience in FMCG.
• Proven track record of launching successful FMCG products.
• Strong consumer insights and market research skills.
• Cross-functional collaboration with R&D, marketing, sales and supply chain.
• Excellent communication, strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end product lifecycle management for a portfolio of FMCG products from ideation to launch and post-launch analysis.
• Conduct market research, consumer insights analysis, and competitive benchmarking to identify opportunities.
• Develop clear product strategies, roadmaps and business cases aligned with brand positioning.
• Collaborate with R&D to guide formulation, packaging and specs.
• Partner with marketing and sales to create and execute go-to-market plans including pricing, promotions and distribution.
• Manage product P&L, forecast sales, costs and profitability for assigned lines.
• Monitor product performance and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
• Present strategies and performance updates to senior management.
