Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Senior Firmware Engineer to join a remote-first engineering team. You will develop, test, and deploy embedded firmware for next-generation devices, mentor junior engineers, and drive technical decisions from a home office.

You will work primarily on C/C++ firmware, RTOS-based and bare-metal systems, with hands-on debugging using JTAG, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers. This role offers strong growth in a fast-paced startup environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of professional experience in embedded firmware development.
• Proficiency in C and C++ for embedded systems, RTOS and bare-metal programming.
• Strong debugging using JTAG, oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement embedded firmware for microcontrollers and embedded systems.
• Write high-quality, well-documented, and testable code in C/C++ for embedded applications.
• Develop and execute firmware testing strategies including unit, integration, and system testing.
• Debug complex firmware issues on hardware platforms using JTAG, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers and software developers to define firmware requirements and architecture.
• Optimize firmware performance, memory usage, and power consumption for embedded devices.
