Placements24 is seeking a Senior Financial Systems Analyst for a fully remote role in South Africa. You will enhance and support financial systems, ensure data integrity, and enable robust reporting across ERP platforms.

A strong focus on automation, migrations, and cross-team collaboration will be essential for success. The role requires 5+ years in financial systems analysis, deep ERP experience (SAP/Oracle/NetSuite/Dynamics), and fluency with SQL and BI tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in financial systems analysis, implementation, or support.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, develop, and implement enhancements for financial systems (ERP, GL, budgeting software).
• Collaborate with finance, accounting, and IT teams to gather requirements and translate business needs into system solutions.
• Provide ongoing technical support and troubleshooting for financial systems.
• Develop and maintain system documentation (process flows, user guides, technical specs).
• Lead and participate in system testing including UAT to ensure successful implementations.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within financial systems.
• Generate reports and dashboards to support business analysis and decision-making.
• Stay current with best practices and recommend upgrades or new solutions.
• Assist in data migration activities and ensure data integrity.
• Train end-users on system functionalities and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial systems analysis, implementation, or support.
• Proven experience with major ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics) and accounting software.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS), and business processes.
• Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and analysis.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise between technical and business teams.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively in a remote, collaborative environment.
• Experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
• Project management skills are advantageous.
