Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years post-articles legal experience.
• Currently working in a law practice/firm with experience in commercial litigation matters.

Responsibilities

• Review legal agreements for corporate legal nature.
• Research legal questions for credit committee advice.
• Manage external law firms regarding costs and litigation.
• Negotiate significant contracts.
• Advise the board on regulatory compliance.
• Manage Company Secretary duties.
• Draft compliance policies for FICA and POPIA.
• Conduct regulatory reporting to FIC and other authorities.
• Perform KYC/FICA checks on clients.
