Qualifications

• Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in financial risk management, preferably within a banking or financial services environment.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills with proven statistical modeling and data analysis.
• Proficiency in risk management software and tools (SAS, R, Python, MATLAB).
• In-depth knowledge of financial markets, instruments, and risk management principles.
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks relevant to the South African banking industry.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Experience with data visualization tools is an advantage.

• Develop, implement, and maintain advanced risk models for market risk, credit risk, and operational risk.
• Analyze financial data to identify emerging trends and potential risk exposures.
