Job summary

Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a highly commercial Financial Manager for a fine foods distribution and import business in Stellenbosch, Western Cape. You will lead the finance function, oversee reporting, budgeting and working capital while partnering with department heads to drive profitability.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong governance, and the ability to influence in the boardroom. Minimum 7–10 years in finance with ERP and Excel expertise is essential.

Qualifications

• BCom Accounting or related qualification is essential.
• SAICA/SAIPA articles are advantageous.
• 7–10 years of finance experience, 3+ years in a finance management role.

Responsibilities

• Lead the finance department and oversee month-end, year-end, and statutory reporting.
• Oversee budgeting, rolling forecasts, scenario planning and financial modelling.
• Manage cash flow forecasting, liquidity, and working capital metrics.
• Oversee inventory valuation, landed costing, imports, forex exposure and supplier relationships.
• Partner with Operations, Procurement, Sales and Logistics to drive profitability.
