A leading financial services company is seeking an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to manage financial reporting and compliance for their short-term insurance business. Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of financial accounting experience, with at least 2 years in the insurance sector.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of financial results (monthly, biannual, and annual statements).
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and insurance regulations.
• Manage the general ledger, accounts payable / receivable, and intercompany transactions.
• Support internal controls and month-end reconciliations.
• Handle VAT calculations and ensure tax compliance.
• Liaise with external auditors and manage audit processes.
• Provide training and mentorship to junior accounting staff.
• Drive process improvement and system enhancement projects.
• Perform detailed financial analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities.
