Job summary

A growing real estate firm in East London seeks an experienced Financial Accountant to manage financial data and prepare statements. You will conduct budgeting, audits, and interact with external auditors. Ideal candidates have 6-7 years of relevant experience and a degree in Accounting or Finance. The role includes responsibilities such as monitoring discrepancies and performing close processes, with a focus on IFRS reporting and extensive CaseWare usage.

Qualifications

  • 6 - 7 years of experience in financial department.
  • IFRS statutory reporting experience (essential).
  • Tax experience (essential).
  • Additional certification (e.g. CPA).
  • Experience with consolidations (advantageous).

Responsibilities

  • Prepare underlying working papers for external audit purposes.
  • Budget preparation and analysis.
  • Interact with external auditors during audits.
  • Manage financial statements audits and other engagements.
  • Prepare annual/interim/monthly financial statements.
  • Organise, prepare, and review bookkeeping transactions.
  • Monitor accounting discrepancies.
  • Conduct detailed risk analyses for investments.
  • Perform month-end and year-end close processes.
